Four-Layer Low-Altitude Defense: Detect to Intercept

How a modern anti-drone system closes the loop: radar and RF detection, AI identification, jamming and deception, then laser or kinetic interception.

激光反无
A single jammer cannot stop a modern drone threat, and a single radar cannot protect a site on its own. What protects an airport, a base or a refinery is process: a chain that detects early, identifies correctly, interferes precisely, and intercepts only when necessary.
Layer 1: Detection — Radar and RF Scanning Radar (X-band, NI-QR5000D / QR8000D) — range, azimuth, elevation, speed; sees the airframe itself; RF scanner (NI-S8000+, 27 MHz–6 GHz) — listens to control/video/nav links, resolves protocol, locates the operator via TDOA.
Layer 2: Identification — AI Vision and Threat Assessment Multi-sensor data is correlated for real-time target association, identification analysis and threat assessment. An edge-computing unit runs a self-developed AI visual UAV algorithm that automatically analyzes, identifies, frames and tracks targets, then conducts intent analysis and formulates a response plan.
Layer 3: Interference — Precision Jamming and Deception Only confirmed threats, only the bands that matter. The system selects the jamming frequency band and attack mode, applying precision jamming (≤3 s effect) and navigation spoofing — no fragmentation, no falling debris.
Layer 4: Interception — Laser and Kinetic Laser damage (NI-T1000, ≤14 kW, 1 km range, ≤10 μrad); Kinetic interception (NI-KC300 / KC300A interceptor UAV).
The Closed Loop Most Vendors Skip
Stage
What happens
Detect
Radar + RF establish the track and operator location
Orient
Fusion correlates data, assesses threat and intent
Decide
C² analyzes target characteristics against each effector and issues a plan
Act
Jamming, deception, laser or kinetic engagement executes
Feedback
On success, return to detection; on failure, re-enter decision phase
